SAR (Subject Access Request)

A SAR (subject access request) gives you the right to obtain a copy of your GP held medical records, please note that there are alternative ways to view your own health and care records. The NHS is seeking to empower people and transform their experience of health and care by giving them the ability to access, manage and contribute to digital tools, information, and services – for example, patients can now request access to their GP record online, including via the NHS App. Accessing via the NHS App will give a one time access and transparency to any information added to your record in the future without having to request this.
